Geoffrey Thomas Associates Sdn Bhd (GTA) is an established interior design consultancy, based in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia.
Since the formation of Geoffrey Thomas Associates, our project profile has reflected a major bias towards residential design, with a client base allowing for both a developer and a private residential profile.
To allow for the Residences exclusive location, the Interior conceptual direction allows for a Contemporary “Resort reflective” ambiance. This is reflected in both the selection of loose furnishing & decorative items, with the overall colour direction, providing a continuing reference to the exterior waterside setting.
A recently completed Show Apartment of approx. 3,600 sqft, providing generous Public Areas & exterior spaces. To allow for a largely contemporary backdrop, being also reflected in the custom design open Kitchen & Island, contrasting with selected antique Chinese furniture items & a varied collection of Artwork & soft furnishing accents.
Providing a strong visual reference, the Show Apartment is to allow for an urban, sophisticated & eclectic interior, providing a contrast of traditional & soft industrial references, whilst reflecting the requirements of a family occupancy.
To allow for a differing interpretation of Classic New York references, drawing on the downtown Soho & the West Village gallery scene. With a “loft living” sensibility to both the Apartment & the Dual-key spaces, a largely neutral interior, provides a backdrop to custom Artwork & decorative items.
A Show Apartment to reflect a Client brief to allow for a Manhattan ambiance. This has been interpreted to echo the sophistication of a New York Residence, allowing for a varying mix of Classic references, to allow for contemporary Artwork & Sculptural pieces.
To reflect a “California” urban ambiance, allowing for an over-scaled contemporary reference to reflect custom furnishings & Artwork. The introduction of simple antique Spanish key furniture items, provides a sense of drama & contrast.
